Packing School Lunches And Saving Money With EasyLunchBoxes

When anyone asks me what the first step is to saving money; I say stop eating. I’m joking, almost. What I actually say is stop eating out. It is the one part of the budget we have total control over. It is completely our choice if we pick up fast food or if we buy in bulk and make in small amounts. The difference between buying prepackaged food and homemade food is the difference between saving thousands or spending thousands every year.

A big reason fast food is so attractive, besides the convenience, is the packaging! Those containers hold the hamburgers so perfectly. The bright colored boxes with little handles are perfect for small hands to hold with delight. But, take away the packaging, put it on a plate from home and somehow it’s not as attractive.

Eating from home is not just about the food, presentation is also critical, especially for kids. If containers don’t matter, explain the popularity of Lunchables! Somehow, I doubt the flavor is what’s bringing people back.

Enter EasyLunchBoxes. You know you want to make fresh, healthy lunches made with love from home, but all you were missing was the cool container!

EasyLunchBoxes come in set of four BPA-Free plastic containers with four covers in different colors. EasyLunchBox divided food containers are custom designed to quickly, easily pack a healthy meal. The lids are not super tight fitting so young children can easily open them. EasyLunchBoxes are not leakproof, so don’t send wet food to school or work!

They work best with the cooler, and there is still plenty of room inside to add a thermos. The cooler comes in 7 different colors!

If a kitchen product is not dishwasher safe it’s not a time saver, and they are dishwasher safe! I put it to the test! As you can see it easily fit in the rack. They washed well. They’ve already been through the cycle three times!

I have 3 kiddos, 2 in school, and it is such a big timesaver in the morning! I put the 2 containers next to each other and simply fill both. Before, I sat there opening up plastic baggie after plastic baggie. On average each child had 3 plastic baggies per lunch! That comes out to SIX baggies every morning, and than what happens when my third starts school..oh no.. I’ll need coffee just to help me stay awake opening all the baggies!

EasyLunchBoxes are BPA-Free, which usually means they’re expensive, but not so! To make a simple lunch like above, I would typically use, at least, four plastic bags. For $13.95, EasyLunchBox containers cost the same as buying four boxes of plastic bags! The problem is when you open that last box of plastic bags you have to go buy more! Think of all the environmental waste! And wouldn’t you rather have cute, colorful containers than a bunch of plastic bags?

We live in a tiny city apartment near Boston. Every inch of space is maximized. EasyLunchBoxes stack perfectly into each other and the lids also stack on top of each other. This is my kids’ drawer and you can see they take no space at all! A BIG plus for this city apartment dweller!

And if you had any doubt that kids don’t notice containers, let me reassure you, they do! My daughter often uses them in her princess tea parties! So, I guess you can say they are “Princess Approved.” :)

Bottom line: EasyLunchBoxes will save you time in the morning, money in your pocket and protect the environment from further damage. Don’t take my word for it! It’s the Number ONE selling lunch box container on Amazon!

  1. Well, since these are "princess approved", I think they are worth looking at! :) These really would save on those baggies AND are reusable – so much easier AND environmentally friendlier- that's why I'd like to win.

  2. How fun!! I love how you laid it all out and the pics are great!! My son loves to play with all the food containers in our cabinets!! He's not in school yet, but these would be perfect for my breakfast and lunch at work!!

  3. I love those! My kids aren't in school yet, but I can see how those would be very helpful!! I taught kindergarten for three years and you would not BELIEVE the plastic bags that were thrown away from my students during those years alone!!

    • I stopped by my kids' school at lunchtime once and was shocked by the amount of baggies in the trashcan! These are great for adults too, my husband uses them for his lunch to work.
