I love semi-homemade cooking! Taking ready-made food and adding fresh ingredients and my own twist for a home cooked dish. It’s like having a sous chef in the kitchen with me! They do the hard work and I add the finishing touches.
I love fried fresh. I DO NOT love:
- Handling fish.
- Dredging in flour.
- Dipping in egg wash.
- Shaking in breadcrumbs.
I found out Gorton’s has a new line of skillet crisp tilapia. It’s prepped and ready to be fried! I picked up the classic seasoning. When I try a new product I like to always start with the basic and go from there!
Fried Fillet Fun!
I made Baja Fish Tacos with the tilapia. Just added tortillas, a simple mayonnaise/lemon sauce and some shredded cabbage. So delicious and I wasn’t exhausted making them!
