Shaklee Get Clean Starter Kit

Not A lot of Green to be Green!

I know I hear you saying, ” It’s just too expensive to be green!” The Shaklee Get Clean Starter Kit is about to prove us wrong.

For all the products above you would end up paying $3400 for the same amount in ready to use cleaners. Now that I have your attention, let’s talk about what’s under your sink!

On the left, a bunch of chemicals I can’t pronounce and a well guarded secret stash hidden from my kids.

On the right:

  • Non-toxic
  • No Fumes
  • No Chemicals

I checked out some of the products I regularly use and looked up what they are made of at the U.S. Government’s Household Product Database. Just a warning…it’s not pretty!

  • kerosene
  • phenol
  • sulfuric acid
  • ammonia
  • formaldehyde

Oh Boy!

I’m cleaning, but what am I leaving behind? It does have me worried. My son has asthma, my daughter eczema and all of us allergies. A combination of different fumes and chemicals just can’t be good.

But Does It Clean?

My stove takes a beating. I tested out my toughest cleaning problem against Shaklee’s Degreaser.

Look how clear the concentrate is! Check out my stove, looks awesome, right?!

Just One Get Clean Kit!
  • Outperforms 20 national leading brands.
  • Just 1/4 tsp. makes 16 oz. All-Purpose Cleaner..just 3 cents!
  • Keep 108 pounds of packing waste from landfills.
  • Passing on a Get Clean Kit to a friend is like planting 10 trees! {crazy!}

My one recommendation to Shaklee: include some awesome green cleaning gloves with the kit! :)

Safe for You, Your Home, and Your Planet

This is the first time my daughter has gotten anywhere near the cabinet under our kitchen sink! She was happy and so was I! Isn’t that what it’s all about in the end?

Shaklee is giving away 1 Get Clean Mini Starter Kit (ARV $46.95) to a {very} lucky Frugalette reader. Giveaway Open to US ONLY, ends 4/22. Official Sponsor giveaway rules can be found HERE.

GOOD LUCK!

  1. I discovered that I have a long way to go. I try to be as green, but I admit, I am lazy sometimes about it. I often make my own cleaners from things like vinegar, but I still have some chemical cleaners. I am intrigued by the degreaser. I do not have a hood over my stove, so I deal with a lot of grease on things. I would really like to try it out. Thanks for sharing!

  2. We have alot of cleaners with bad chemicals in them, so we defintely need greener products.

  15. I had to search online for the information for the cleaner I use because the ingredients are not listed on the bottle. LA’s Totally Awesome All Purpose Cleaner ® is a blend of water, surfactant (surface-active) agents, color and scent. Surfactant agents lift grease and oil up off of the surface.

LA’s Totally Awesome All Purpose Cleaner ® is a safe, naturally gentle soap, specially formulated for cleaning a variety of surfaces like floors, furniture, and other household surfaces. And it leaves your home smelling fresh and clean. LA’s Totally Awesome All Purpose Cleaner ® contains no harsh detergents, ammonia, or bleach. SO I guess that is good. I also use vinegar or peroxide to clean.

  16. Oy Vey. We have five kids. Including a toddler and an infant. Of COURSE we need a green makeover.
