Craft Like Martha Stewart For $1

Jam Packed With Savings!

I’m a closet Martha Stewart wanna-be. I would love to spend $18 on one Fiskars hole puncher that cuts circles just right. Or how about $25 on craft paper to make tags?

Just no, Martha..just N-O!

Being crafty was meant for frugal folks to save money, not spend more on supplies we can’t afford. I made some delicious homemade jam over the weekend. I have no less than TEN teachers to give Teacher Appreciation presents for! Being frugal is a must!

The above labels, ribbon and tags cost a total of $1!

Supplies:

  • HP Photo Paper (FREE after rebate from Staples)
  • FREE printable lime download from fab blogger Wendolonia
  • Trader Joe’s brown paper bag
  • Ribbon $1 from the Dollar Store
  • Scissors, marker/pen
Best of all my kids did most of the work! This is a present for their teachers after all. ;)

My daughter cut the limes.

My son cut the tags.

They each signed their names and I wrote the message, “Jam Packed With Appreciation!”

We glued the labels on top. It would’ve been easier if we had printed on sticker paper…but we didn’t have any! Use what you have!

Now isn’t that worth more than a $5 gift card?  Jam Packed with Appreciation…indeed! :)
