$5 for $102 Worth of Product at CVS 6/17-6/23

It’s time to spend $5 and fill up our shopping basket!  Once a week I give my ‘ode to deals’ by posting one, and only one crazy awesome drugstore deal that I think is best for new people (and veterans) starting out with coupons. This is not Extreme Couponing, but it is doable couponing for the rest of us!

My challenge is to not use more than $5.99 out of pocket and see how far I can s-t-r-e-t-c-h my money. My pick these week is CVS!

 

Some notes about shopping at CVS:

 

  • Their cash back program is called Extra Care Bucks (ECB), it prints at the bottom of your receipt.
  • Use your store loyalty card every time you shop.
  • Scan your card at the red coupon machine inside the store for CVS store coupons.
  • You can use a CVS store coupon with a Manufacturer coupon on one item.
  • You can use 2 coupons on a BOGO sale.
  • You can use a BOGO coupon on a BOGO sale.

 

**This week there are several regional differences in the CVS ads, looks like they are testing out some new promos. Check your ad first and make sure your store also has the same promos.**

 

Transaction #1:
1 Electro Nyte Shot 2pk. $4.79/each (limit 1)
=$4.79, get back $4.79 ECB

 

Transaction #2:
1 Tom’s of Maine Deodorant $3.19/each (limit 2)
Use $2.50 off 1 coupon from 6/17 SS
=$.69, get back $1 ECB

 

1 Gillette Shave Gel $2.26/each (limit 1)
Use $1 off 1 coupon fom 6/3 PG
=$1.26, get back $1 ECB
8 Gillette Disposables Packs $11.49/each (online price)
-Buy One Get One 50% Off promo
Use (2) $10 off $30 CVS coupon (has been printing several times from magic coupon machine, total should be $60 before coupons)
-(4) Buy One Get One FREE coupons (should auto deduct higher priced item)
=$2.98
=$4.93, use $4.79 from previous transaction
=$.14, get back $2 ECB

 

Transaction #3:
Colgate MaxClean $2.99/each (limit 2)
Use $.75 off 1 coupon from 6/3 SS
=$2.24, use $2 ECB from previous transaction
=$.24, get back $1.50 ECB

 
Bottom Line: $5.17 out of pocket, $102.89 worth of product and a very Happy Father’s Day! :)
