GOOD FOOD, GREAT CAUSE
Yesterday I attended a lunch with a small group of fabulous Boston Bloggers. We met at Maggiano’s Little Italy restaurant to eat, drink and learn all about the restaurant’s partnership with Make-A-Wish foundation.
When I lived in California, Maggiano’s was a place we would eat at often. If you haven’t been, it’s family style dining, the way Italian food is meant to be eaten! Big, hearty portions that pack a lot of comfort in each bite.

YOU NAME IT!
What’s really special about Maggiano’s dining, they are made to order. Everything, down to the sauces are hand crafted, nothing pre-made here!
Avocados in Italian dining? They say they can adjust to any diet; vegan, no alcohol, vegetarian…whatever you want they’ll do it..even down to the dessert!
We put them to the test and asked for a vegan version of Caprese salad and out came this lovely plate. Tasty, unexpected and inventive!

KID FRIENDLY
Would you expect anything else in an Italian family restaurant? They are prepared with high chairs, crayons, coloring pages, special kid friendly cups. No worries, the little ones will be busy!

DISH FOR MAKE A WISH
This is the reason we attended. Every year, each Maggiano’s restaurant across the country, aims to grant at least two wishes of children struck with life-threatening conditions by either:
- Purchasing an item from their special menu. (this is one of the items from that menu! Fresh Berry Tiramisu YUM!)
- Selling one of their decorative star cards that’s displayed in the restaurant in honor of the donor.
- Purchasing a Wish music CD for $12.90. Every CD comes with a $20 off coupon inside!
- LIKE Maggiano’s on Facebook! Easy Peasy! For every new like they will donate $1!
Before the child and their family are sent off to experience their wish, Maggiano’s gives them a big, themed send-off dinner! How special is that!

Hi! I'm Isra, aka The Frugalette. I took my family from fancy to frugal in 3 years, with 3 kids and 1 income, oh and found the meaning of life too! To read more about my fancy life gone frugal,

I have never been there before. We did look at having our rehearsal dinner there. I had heard great things about it.
Food looks delicious!
Yes- they have the best eggplant parm!
Now I am just hungry!~ Wish we had one of these in my hometown
I've never been there, but it looks great. Did the tiramisu still have the coffee flavor??? In addition to the berries? I can't imagine what that would taste like.
Yes, it did still have coffee in it, and it was amazing, the fruit made the taste lighter than the usual tiramisu.
I haven't been there before.
I've never been there but it looks amazing
Sounds like a wonderful Restaurant and with so much Passion. I liked on Facebook. I will have to see if the husband travels to Boston any time, to stop by! I wish I has that dessert for tonight
