Having grown up in Los Angeles, Las Vegas was my backyard.
Long weekend? Go to Vegas. New Year’s? Go to Vegas. Bored? Go to Vegas.
I know Vegas. Bright lights, never sleeps and lots and lots of praying, hoping and wishing you win something!
BlogHer is very, very, VERY much like Vegas!
BlogHer, for those of you that don’t know, is the biggest women’s blogging conference on planet earth. Planet earth referenced for entertainment purposes only.
I hesitate to use the word ‘conference’ to describe BlogHer.

Every trip to Vegas starts with a SAH-weeeet ride! For me, this was it!
McDonald’s chartered this bus to take several of us Boston bloggers out to NYC. Why us you ask? A lot of people had the same question.
And to that I say, “I’m Lovin’ It!” In other words, I don’t know. We were fortunate they picked us, just say thank you Frugalette: Thank You McDonald’s!
People you want to hang out with…

So I met ThePioneerWoman. Love her blog, love her food, lots of love to go around. She was gracious and smiley, even after I was the thousandth person to ask for her picture..but most of all..SHE asked ME for my business card! Yes, The Pioneer Woman asked The Frugalette what my blog is and asked for my card.
Maybe I can give her tips on budgeting that frontier of hers.

I used the dreamy filter for my picture with Candice Kumai. It was a dream. She’s better known as The Next Iron Chef judge, first season of Top Chef contestant and The Stiletto Chef. She’s a model turned chef. No one should look this good in the kitchen, but she does!
Candice is my new BFF. Her new cookbook “Cook Yourself Sexy” is coming out in October and, get this, every recipe comes with a Fab and Frugal tip!
I have her number on speed dial, seriously; she gave me her number. See, new BFF! Can’t wait to get and give the new cookbook!
I know you’re jealous…

It’s THE SUN from Jimmy Dean!
This was a hard picture to take. The sun is really bright and…pointy. I kind of peeked into the shot. I was totally star struck..literally. I almost asked if he could make a couple turns for me.
When things go well in Vegas…

I was invited to a party hosted by Room Key. a hotel search engine geared towards finding the perfect hotel made just for you. They sent limos to pick up the guests, followed by….

…hors d’oeuvres on the rooftop of a hotel overlooking New York and Times Square. Yeah, I’m thinking they know what women like.
No good trip to Vegas is complete without catching a good show!

Disney invited us to a special screening of “The Odd Life of Timothy Green.” Emotional, gripping, dreamy; everything you want in a movie and a spectacular end to a phenom weekend!
The movie comes out August 17th, and I really can’t recommend it enough, it came as a total surprise for me. I had no idea what it was about..and that’s all I’ll say. No spoiler alert!
Were there parties you ask? Oh, yes, there were parties…filled with CheeseburgerHERs…and hats made from McDonald’s bags. Better not to ask. Just better.

This is what happens when you win something…BIG.

So this is what winning something amazing feels like! I had a big win, as in HUGE! It’s like a Cinderella ending to the hardest three years of my life.
So, what did I win? Check out Part 2!
What do you think? Look like Vegas?
