Feedback Friday: Finally It Pays to Watch TV! Viggle App

It’s Feedback Friday time at TheFrugalette! Every week I pick an interesting company doing cool things. OK, who am I kidding? I’m looking for companies that will pay us to join their program.

As much as we save money, we have to make some too! I haven’t started with Viggle too much…yet. I was so excited to find out about them I wanted to post it in hopes of getting your feedback.

It seems simple enough.

  1. Watch TV
  2. Check into your favorite shows.
  3. Earn points.
  4. Redeem points for rewards.

Similar to other check-in apps, but different because it’s TV. The only location you are is probably on a couch in your home, so it works.

I tried it out and it seems easy enough. I was watching Saturday Night Live anyways so I looked it up on Viggle, and pressed the “check-in” button.

After you check-in Viggle will listen to your TV and that’s how they verify you are watching the show. I had the sound relatively low and was holding the phone in my hand and it picked up the sound easily.

I checked in and got 200 points! What’s interesting is it seems I don’t have to continue watching the show…correct me if I’m wrong?!

A bit of a warning, it does take A LOT of points to get something you would want.

12,500 points for a $5 Starbucks GC
20,000 points for a $10 Foot Locker eGift Card
62,500 points for a $25 Amazon GC

Yes, it will take some time to redeem a reward, but I’m going to stick with it since it does seem so easy! You can download the Viggle app on your smartphone!

Do you Viggle?

  1. We have been using Viggle for a few months. I have cashed in over $100 for Burger King, $30 for JCP and a $25 Amazon card. You could say I am addicted.
