CVS 5 Dollars for $41 Worth of Product 9/16-9/22

Once a week I give my ‘ode to deals’ by posting one, and only one crazy awesome drugstore deal that I think is best for new people (and veterans) starting out with coupons. If you are new to couponing check out out my 10 Step Couponingcourse and especially my guide to navigating the drugstores!
 

This is not Extreme Couponing, but it is doable couponing for the rest of us!

My challenge is to not use more than $5.99 out of pocket and see how far I can s-t-r-e-t-c-h my money. My pick these week is CVS!

 

Some notes about shopping at CVS:

 

  • Their cash back program is called Extra Care Bucks (ECB), it prints at the bottom of your receipt.
  • Use your store loyalty card every time you shop.
  • Scan your card at the red coupon machine inside the store for CVS store coupons.
  • You can use a CVS store coupon with a Manufacturer coupon on one item.
  • You can use 2 coupons on a BOGO sale.
  • You can use a BOGO coupon on a BOGO sale.

=$1.99, get back $2 ECB

Use $2 off 1 from RP 9/16
=$1.00
=$4.98, use $5 ECB from previous transaction
=$0, get back $3 ECB

 

Transaction #3:
Gallon Milk $2.79
Price is regional so check your store.
=$2.79, get back $1 ECB
Gold Emblem Candy Corn $.88 (yeah! time for Halloween sales!)
=$.88
=$3.67, use $3 ECB from previous transaction
=$.67, get back $1 ECB

 

Bottom Line: $5.66 out of pocket, $41.62 worth of product and $1 ECB left over for next time. And, yeah for Halloween candy!
