It’s like the stars aligned to help me this month! I’m on Day 2 of using my slow cooker all month. I already have my recipes planned and picked for September, but it’s never too early to start for October.
Looking up Slow Cooker cookbooks and I found another one that is FREE for Kindle! It’s usually $4. Remember you don’t have to own a Kindle to download and read the books. You can download the Kindle reader FREE on your PC, tablet or smartphone.
Easy Slow Cooker Chicken Recipes for everyone has 70 chicken recipes made for the slow cooker. There’s not many reviews on the book, but the author has written seven other recipe books, with all good ratings! And, really, it’s FREE, so no risk.
I’m loving all these FREE Slow Cooker cookbooks!
I already made one recipe from the last book that was free on Amazon..will be posting it soon. It was divine..truly.

Hi! I'm Isra, aka The Frugalette. I took my family from fancy to frugal in 3 years, with 3 kids and 1 income, oh and found the meaning of life too! To read more about my fancy life gone frugal,

Thanks for sharing this deal! I made a monthly meal plan for September too. How do you plan? Just look through cookbooks? I have the worst time coming up with things that aren't going to cost me a fortune. Do you include leftover nights? My husband thinks I should plan weekly based on what's on sale. I say I should do it monthly and stock up on meats when I see them on sale because I'll know what I need, since my menu is all planned for the month. (This is the first time i'm doing it monthly. Hoping it goes well…) My goal is to use the slow cooker once a week. Looking forward to hearing how it goes for you using it every day! (And I hope you're planning to post recipes!)
So I start right away with our families favorites, there are usually 5-6 I know we will eat every month. I then go with my proteins, so, every week we always have: veggie, meat, egg, chicken, ground beef/turkey, seafood. And yes, I use cookbooks, but this month I made it even easier by sticking to the slow cooker and I know my proteins ahead of time so it was about picking ones that are easy and sounded good. The price difference is not much different than a weekly plan. Throughout the month you can still stock up on whatever groceries come up on sale, but even without coupons I noticed we average $4 per person for dinner. And that's with no coupons and buying a lot of organic. I'll have a post up on how I do my monthly plan, I got a lot of questions on it.
And yes, my first slow cooker dinner will be up tomorrow! You really should see it, it's SO easy and so so delicious!
Thank you so much for sharing! I just downloaded it for my Kindle. I have also been so inspired to start meal-planning. I will start with one week at a time and eventually work my way up to your level! I am off to find some recipes now. Thanks again!
Definitely start with one week. This is actually the first time I'm trying a month and I have to say it's exhausting at first, but knowing everything is planned out has freed up so much of my time!
