This is not your kid’s fan club! This is Disney all grown up.

Love Disney? Me too.

Want to visit Disney World every year? Me too.

Can you afford to visit every year? Me either.

There are so many ways to bring Disney into our home and experience the magic without one trip to the park.  I was lucky enough to grow up 10 minutes down the street from Disneyland. During the summer I would go outside at 9 pm daily to watch the fireworks.

As life would have it, I now live clear on the other side of the country and Disneyland is a beautiful memory.

Fortunately, Disney is so much more than just visiting the theme parks! There are movies, stores, city tours, shows and D23, The Official Disney Fan Club!

One of the biggest perks of being a member are the special Disney Fan events held around the country! Here in Boston, the most recent ‘Fanniversary’ took place at the Museum of Fine Arts.
Some fun features about the event:

  • Took place in the Contemporary Art Wing. (Beautiful!)
  • Hidden Mickeys placed by the trash can and ground lights.
  • Announcer sounded the same as the one from the parks.
  • Special D23 button and Fanniversary pendant.
  • Special hosts from Walt Disney Archives and Disney Geek shows.
  • Cast members from local Disney stores.
  • Slide show and animation presentation.
  • Meet and greet with the presenters.

Finally a slice of Disney in my backyard again!

  1. Fantastic! We are huge Disney fans!

  2. I'm fortunate enough to live close and recently took my grand daughter to see the premier of Secret of the Wings in Downtown Disney in Orlando. They do have wonderful things on line and in their parks that helps grandparents to create wonderful memories.

  3. How neat that you grew up so close to Disneyland that you could see the fireworks every night! This sounds like a great club and I know of a couple people who would love to join.

  4. This is so cool! I think I'll ask for a membership as part of our Christmas present!

  5. I just learned all about D23 on another site and am thinking of gifting a membership to a family member. Maybe someone will gift one to me too!

  6. i'm thinking about this for in the future when my daughter will appreciate it a little more than right now :)
