If you’re reading this, chances are you want to start using coupons in 2013!
You can start NOW without having one coupon. Yes, I said, you don’t need to have any prior coupons to get the new year started. Start right where you are.
Head to CVS on 12/30, buy a couple newspapers to get the Sunday inserts and you can do the transactions below. The transactions listed only require this week’s inserts.
No excuses! Make this the year you start using coupons or find the motivation to get back in the game.
Go do the following transactions and then come back and tell me about it!
Some notes about shopping at CVS:
- Their cash back program is called Extra Care Bucks (ECB), it prints at the bottom of your receipt.
- Use your store loyalty card every time you shop.
- Scan your card at the red coupon machine inside the store for CVS store coupons.
- You can use a CVS store coupon with a Manufacturer coupon on one item.

Repurpose Magazines Into DIY Boot Shapers!

Hi! I'm Isra, aka The Frugalette. I took my family from fancy to frugal in 3 years, with 3 kids and 1 income, oh and found the meaning of life too! To read more about my fancy life gone frugal,

So… when I got to church this morning the first thing my dad asked me was had I read your blog yet today? He then began telling me all about how to start using coupons based on this post! LOL… There ya go!
How sweet is that!! One of the top 5 resolutions is to save more, and spend less! Tell your dad thanks for the plug.
THANKS FOR THE TIPS! I LOVE COUPONS!
My nephew just asked for my help in starting to use coupons and I referred him to this post. His girlfriend is pregnant and he wants to start buying wipes and other supplies ahead of time. Luckily I had a spare coupon organizer to give him preloaded with some extra coupons!
If he’s just starting out I recommend reading my 10 Step Couponing Course. Also this weekend is a great week to start buying inserts, there will be a ton! http://www.thefrugalette.com/10-step-couponing/
Thanks. I want to start couponing better this year. The multiple transactions seem kinda confusing, but I’m gonna get the hang of it.
