5 For 99 Dollars Worth of Product at #CVS! 1/6-1/12 Start the Year Couponing!

Once a week I post one drugstore deal that I think is best for new people starting out and veterans getting back into the game. Be sure to check out my 10 Step Couponing course and especially my guide to navigating the drugstores!

I try not use more than $5.99 out of pocket and see how far I can s-t-r-e-t-c-h my money. All coupons were available at the time, if it’s not available it is most likely out of prints. They sometimes do re-set at the beginning of the month!

Some notes about shopping at CVS:

 

  • Their cash back program is called Extra Care Bucks (ECB), it prints at the bottom of your receipt.
  • Use your store loyalty card every time you shop.
  • Scan your card at the red coupon machine inside the store for CVS store coupons.
  • You can use a CVS store coupon with a Manufacturer coupon on one item.
  • You can use 2 coupons on a BOGO sale.
  • You can use a BOGO coupon on a BOGO sale.

 

*This is a GREAT week to start couponing, there will be SIX inserts in the paper! The first week of the New Year is famous for having lots of coupon inserts and high value coupons!

Bottom Line:  $4.87 out of pocket, $99.92 worth of product (wowza!!!) and $2 ECB and $5 left to use next time!!! Happy Shopping in 2013!

**FYI:I am considering retiring this $5 Drugstore Series. In light of so many other sites posting deals and scenarios it might be better served to end it. If you have any thoughts on on it, I’d love to hear in the comments. Thank you!

    I love the way you break it down. It is always helpful to keep the out of pocket down. I also wanted to point out if you have Ibotta they have a coupon for both Listerine products. You can get an extra $2.50 back and it only takes a second on your cellphone.

    Thanks for doing the giveaway! CVS also has Lubriderm for less than $2, which you can get free with this last week’s manufacturer coupon. It can be a money maker because it’s part of the Johnson n Johnson $10 ECB wyb $30.
